YourDigits is a voice-first personal finance app that helps you track spending, build budgets, and take control of your money. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. We believe in being transparent and only collecting what's necessary to make the app work.

2. What We Collect

We collect the information you provide to use the app:

  • Email address - To create your account and send important updates
  • Financial data you enter - Transactions, account names, budgets, and categories
  • Voice recordings - Temporarily processed to transcribe your transactions (audio is deleted immediately after transcription)
  • Financial health survey - Your responses during onboarding to personalize recommendations
  • Basic analytics - How you use the app to help us improve it

✓ Important: We never sell your data to third parties.

Note: We don't connect to your bank accounts. You manually enter or voice-record your transactions, which means we never have access to your bank login credentials.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Save your transactions, budgets, and account balances
  • Show you spending insights and budget progress
  • Generate personalized tasks based on your financial goals
  • Process voice recordings into transaction data
  • Send important account updates (you can opt out)
  • Improve the app based on usage patterns

4. What We Don't Do

We believe your financial data is deeply personal. Here's what we commit to:

  • We do NOT sell your financial data to anyone
  • We do NOT share your data with advertisers
  • We do NOT use your data to target you with ads
  • We do NOT connect to your bank accounts or access credentials
  • We do NOT store your voice recordings after processing

5. Third-Party Services

We use these trusted services to make the app work:

  • Supabase - Stores your account and financial data securely (encrypted at rest)
  • OpenAI Whisper - Transcribes voice recordings (audio deleted immediately after)
  • Expo - Delivers app updates and handles push notifications
  • RevenueCat - Manages subscriptions (we don't see your payment details)

Each of these services has their own privacy policies and security measures. We only share the minimum data necessary for them to function.

6. Data Security

We take security seriously. Your data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure with:

  • Encryption at rest - All data is encrypted on Supabase servers
  • Encryption in transit - All connections use HTTPS/TLS
  • Row-level security - You can only access your own data (enforced at database level)
  • Secure authentication - Handled by Supabase Auth with industry-standard practices
  • Biometric lock - Optional Face ID/Touch ID to protect the app

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your information for different periods:

  • Account data - Until you delete your account
  • Transactions & budgets - Until you delete your account
  • Voice recordings - Deleted immediately after transcription (not stored)
  • Analytics data - Up to 2 years to help us improve the app

When you delete your account, we remove all your personal data completely.

8. Your Rights

You can:

  • See your data - View all your information in the app
  • Export your data - Request a copy of your information
  • Fix your data - Edit any incorrect information
  • Delete your data - Delete your account and all associated data
  • Control notifications - Manage what updates you receive

9. Age Requirements

You must be 13 years or older to create an account and use YourDigits.

We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us immediately.
